The Board of Directors guides the work of Kindale Developmental Association, following a Policy Governance model. Kindale is well served by a dedicated, volunteer Board composed of five to seven elected Directors and two appointed People's Representatives.
Director elections are held at Kindale’s Annual General Meeting in June each year. The Executive Director is a non-voting member of the Board.
DIRECTORS FOR 2018/2019:
• President – Sue Phillips, Enderby
Sue is a long-time resident and former Mayor of Enderby. She is active in many local groups.
• Vice President – Jim Clipperton, Lake Country
Jim is an owner of Nor-Val Equipment Rentals and son of the company founders. He and Nor-Val are long-time supporters of Kindale with fundraising events and employment opportunities.
• Secretary – Lee Van Meter, Vernon
Lee recently retired from Interior Health Authority where she was Corporate Director of IH Staffing Services. Lee is a founding committee member of Kindale's annual Golf Spectacular fundraiser.
• Treasurer – Dave Wallace, Armstrong
Dave is the General Manager of Askews Foods and grandson of the founder, Dick Askew. Askews Foods supports Kindale in many ways, including providing people we serve with volunteer, work experience and employment opportunities.
