Philosophy

The developmentally delayed individual will be served from a non-authoritarian position where partnership is united with respect and dignity for the individual.

The individual will be empowered to make decisions and choice of programming in the most natural and normal environment that supports and respects dignity and individual rights.

Mission Statement

The Kindale Developmental Association, as a network of progressive, dedicated people, will provide quality, individualized services for people with special needs and will support them in the pursuit of their personal goals by offering program options and family support as part of an interdependent community.

The mission statement is founded on the following fundamental beliefs of Kindale Developmental Association:

We believe that learning is an ongoing process necessary for growth.

We believe that a healthy sense of self and respect for others empowers us to strive towards our goals.

We believe that all people are of equal worth and therefore have equal rights.
