At Kindale, we are dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for people with developmental disabilities. Our day program centres are places of growth, learning, and community for hundreds of individuals and our Thrift Store is a vital community resource and source of funding for many of our programs.
Our current HVAC systems in these buildings are tired and nearing the end of their lifespans. One unit is a staggering 34 years old, well past its expected useful life. These HVAC units have served Kindale well over the decades but it has come time to replace them before there is a critical failure.
The goal of replacing the HVAC units is to have new, energy-efficient, and reliable systems, ensuring a consistently safe and comfortable environment year-round. Because of the nature of these buildings and existing systems the replacement cost is a substantial $90,000.
